Ski Vacation Package Providers: A Review

Ski Vacation Package Providers: A Review.

Anymore is seems like when your trying to plan a getaway to a ski destination you’re overwhelmed with websites all claiming to have the best package for the lowest price possible. Of course common sense dictates’ that everyone cant have the best, lowest prices and offer the most unforgettable experience. This article is going to attempt to describe my experience with each primary entity and their services. I will continue to review other businesses offering similar products to attempt to provide the most accurate and non-bias reviews of the major companies that are providing these packaged ski trip services. The two primary companies in this industry at the moment are GetSkiTickets and Liftopia. In this article I will cover GetSkiTickets.com first then get to Liftopia.com on my next article.

The first thing the comes to mind with GetSkiTickets is the shear professionalism of the layout and design of their website. Aesthetically the layout is appealing and inviting; there is a sense of expert color use with the intention to draw your attention to key areas on the page. At the top of the page there is a drop down menu to choose your resort and it is expertly placed. There are some options available above this menu offering selections such as, ‘lift tickets’, ’ski lodging’, ‘rental skies’ which is great, except if you don’t already have any idea of where your wanting to spend your winter wonderland skiing and riding vacation, making it sort of moot. Instead it would be a good idea to start by choosing the resort option your most interested in, then selecting, airfare, lift tickets, lodging, and rentals. Oh I almost forgot to mention, on the main page there is a custom engine at your fingertips to compare pricing in relation to you destination selection, arrival date, departure date and party composition. You can fine-tune this engine to incorporate the extent of your trip I.E. flying by airfare, renting a vehicle, renting skies, snowboarders, and the lodging arrangements. This engine is where the magic happens, a few minutes toying around with it any you’ll get the hang of it in no time. One thing to absolutely NOT overlook is their group/corporate vacation deal engine. To get the most for large group excursions with either lots of friends or a corporate outing or a wedding please contact these guys you wont regret it!

One of the things I was most impressed with was the people at GetSkiTickets, their vast connections with so many world-class resorts, smoking deals on lift tickets, lodging and lessons by expert skiers and riders for the members in your party needing to learn, you cant beat including it in your package with these professional ski vacation providers. I’m not going to list them all but here are a few of the Resorts GetSkiTickets can offer amazing deals for stellar prices on numerous resorts in Alaska, California, Colorado, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Wyoming, Vermont, and British Colombia. I recently spoke with owner of this company and they’re indeed planning to expand their business to include intentional Ski and riding Destination!

On a finally note I would like to mention customer service. As a small family owned and operated business I got the impression of real concern for me, their desire for the customer getting exactly what they want at the price which you established was very apparent and refreshing. One of the Employ’s went completely out of her way to help me organize a complete ski vacation package for myself and college friends to Beavercreek Colorado. I could not have been happier with my experience. On a last note. GetSkiTickets has a wonderful feature built in so if you ever get stuck on any part of the process selecting your package you will automatically be connected to a live person to help you through the ordering process, or simply to answer any questions you might have.

Overall I give GetSkiTickets a 9.5/10
